Description
Georgia O'Keeffe's Cow's Skull is a work that represents, among other things, the endurance of the American people. In this geometric redux, I attempted to portray this resilience by transforming the skull into something that is both resistant as a bionic armor and elegant as paper origami. I also tried to bring the mystical aspect of the original work, which, according to critics, may refer to Christ on the cross over the holy shroud in the colors of the American flag. Like the other works in the series, I created this geometric redux by looking for lines, angles, colors, and shapes that, when combined and overlapped translate the masterpiece within my style. This is my way of honoring the works and artists I most admire.
