Street Performer (Off Duty)
DescriptionOn a quiet evening in London outside the National Portrait Gallery.
The artist encountered the street performer heading away from Trafalgar Square.
A brief visual exchange took place before the performer switched back into the jolly persona and smiled and waved for the camera. It was the moment just before this that we see here in front of St Martin in the Fields and The Crypt.
Painted on silk with oils and wax.
