Privet Moth
Description
I love how these type of moths have a naturally forming pattern of a skull on their thorax. Seeing different patterns and images in nature feels surreal and that excites me. This is a mixed media, 2D layered paper effect piece. Using watercolour pencils, pastels and inks, sealed with a protective acrylic spray. The back ground image is draw directly onto the back of the frame, very much incorporating it into the art piece. I try to reuse thing I have or find into my art, to give them meaning and purpose once more.
