“Canna indica “Phasion” is a plant native primarily to the tropical regions of America and Asia. Like the water lily, Phasion has often been depicted by painters in modern art. My photograph vaguely reminds me of Henri Rousseau's jungle paintings, such as Tiger in a Tropical Storm or Jungle with Setting Sun. The image could also be seen as a photorealistic painting. Pictorialism, a style of photography that lies somewhere between photography and painting, would also be a fitting classification. Incidentally, I did not find my motif in the Garden of Giverny, but in Nusa Dua on Bali, where there is a planting in front of a large hotel.”Try it!
