Waves at Crooklets Beach Bude is inspired by the beach at just north of Bude, North Cornwall. I hired a beach hut for the day and painted looking out towards the rolling waves, then took the painting back to my studio to finish off, adding layers of texture and glazes to enrich the surface. This painting has lots of texture with abstract brushstrokes and pallet knife work in the sea and on the beach.
Crooklets Beach with its Blue Flag Award beckons with its expansive stretch of golden sand and intriguing rock pools waiting to be explored at low tide. While the pebbly top adds a touch of character, once the tide retreats, it reveals a vast sandy playground for beachgoers.Try it!
