Obsession morphology no.3

Katya Dimova
Songs or smells give you a sense of déjà-vus, don't they? Plants do the same to me. After many years I came back to my grandfather's birthplace. The garden was covered with field pansy (Viola arvensis). There were so many plants growing like I never had anywhere else in my mind. I took the morphology of this tiny viola with the drawing. Later it grew oversized into the embroidery. In the Obsession Morphology series, I decide to embroider the wild plants in an oversized format. On the one hand to make the physical beauties of the plant more visible and on the other hand to direct the attention to it and to th nature at all.
