A Better VIew
Description
A Better View is a collage made of archival paper and adhesive, depicting an ‘almost-but-not-quite real’ place, offering an ambiguous world, somewhere between authentic and imagined. The work was inspired by an architectural photo and my intent was to interpret the space and depict the hopeful harmony of the man-made and natural worlds. I built a bas-relief to emphasize the spatial dynamics of the composition, with the hope that the viewer will be compelled to consider and ponder the imagined space.Try it!
