Watergate Bay Wave A2 giclée print is taken from an original oil painting which was inspired by a visit to Watergate Bay. That day the wind was whipping up the waves turning the sea a beautiful pale green teal colour. The tide was coming in fast making the pale yellow sand wet turning it ochre and the water left on the sand reflected the blue sky above.
This painting show a large waves cresting onto a sandy beach. The sky is mixture of cerulean blue with wispy white grey and pale purple clouds . The light coming through the cresting waves turns the ocean several shades of teal and turquoise. The deep shadow of the wave is a mix of deep phthalo green and blue.
