Inspiration
Turquoise Beach Waves II is an original oil painting in my wave series. It shows a large turquoise ocean wave cresting, in many shades of sea green and turquoise. With sea foam rising up under the wave and more sea foam swirling on the sandy beach. The beaches of the South Devon coastline and Cornwall have inspired this painting.
Medium
As an artist, I have experimented with a variety of mediums, from watercolors to charcoal, but nothing quite captures my passion like oil paint. There is something endlessly alluring about that thick, buttery texture that allows me to create sweeping strokes and intricate details with equal ease.
