Description
"The winter seasons have always felt like I’m watching a thrilling movie while being fully aware that I need to distract myself from a deep sadness. The stillness and beauty of a quiet snowfall fill my mind with hope but never erase the coldness from the ever fluctuating mental health. The cold, darkness, and quiet of the season evoke feelings of isolation, yet within that silence, I find space for reflection, introspection, and healing. I took this photo while on a hike with my family–surrounded by my loved ones, yet feeling so incredibly lonely. This photograph represents my daily struggles and freedoms during the winter time. On the side of the photo, you have strong trees bordering my vision–the things I want to be. In the centre, always in view, the fragile and non-descript feeling of what I actually am. I aim to honor the resilience found in facing internal winters, celebrating both the vulnerability and strength in navigating these challenges."Try it!
