Moonlight is a favorite subject of mine. This plein air oil painting describes the light as it fades and the change from the last light of the day to the first light of night and the shimmering moon casts it magic. In the fall the moon overlays the sunset creating soft light landscapes and seascapes which enchant the mind and spirit. This piece was a set of paintings which led up to this piece. This plein air oil painting was painted on location as the sunset and the moon rose. It was exhibited in the 2007 Arts for the Parks exhibition and toured through the museum circuit. I am putting up on the new online market some of the key paintings from my personal art collection . Signed by the artist.
