Inspiration
Breaking Waves II is inspired by the coastline of South Devon and North Cornwall. This particular painting show large turquoise waves breaking out at sea. The sky is a cerulean blue with wispy clouds. The light coming through the cresting wave is a combination of turquoise and Phthalo blue. The deep shadow of the wave is a mixture of viridian green, indigo blue and deep turquoise. The foreground shows a sea foam coming up and under the wave
Medium
