Nur Guzeldere is a Turkish Artist currently living in New York for her undergraduate studies at Pratt Institute. Her photography work ranges from documentarian to editorial with an emphasis on emotional and intimate portraiture, it’s the backbone of her body of work. “They’ll find a rotting corpse behind the door I’ll stink, I’ll have shat the rats will have eaten my nose.” Made me feel so much indescribable and intense emotions at the same time when I read Simone de Beauvoir’s Woman Destroyed, which became the initial inspiration in pushing me to create. It’s a period where you are supposed to grow healthy and evolve into a better version of yourself, a beautiful mature grown woman. Yet something is inside you, a mold that is spreading into your insides, getting you infected, making you unwanted. And you can’t explain it to anyone. There’s no rational or scientific solution to it.Try it!
