The canvas becomes a stage dramatizing a curious geography through the tile. The square multiplies into endless images that duplicate, disassemble, and reassemble, transforming the landscape. A twenty by twenty tiled floor opens to a textile world, navigating endless movements and transformations. Miniature wheels traverse swirling designs and checkered patterns in patios and homes, spaces of secret pleasures. In the solitude of rooms, it plunges into labyrinths projecting dreams and fading thoughts. The tiles hold untold histories, accumulating secrets beneath the surface. The floor becomes an artificial concept, distant from its horizontal origin, exploring visual “appearances” through surreal thoughts.Try it!
