This painting employs gesture and control in a way which I hope captures the mood of the music and the ‘pride’ the man has in his girlfriend because he feels she looks good! The colour reflects this optimistic mood in the lyrics and ultimately the title of the song is a delight - She’s lookin’ good. A sense of rhythm is hopefully captured by the employment of undulating pink lines, bottom left, which are added to with an even brighter pink gesture/symbol bottom right which ultimately leads us to the focal point of the painting - the pink striped horizontal oval shape.Try it!
