I read a comment about contemporary art the other day that said that contemporary art is about the questions an artwork asks us.
The question my work asks of the viewer is do you want to immerse yourself in this imaginary world. For me it's not about you over there and the painting over here. You are invited to merge and become one.
As the days get longer and the sun gets up earlier I often get to the seafront just after sunrise. The beauty is still extraordinary. The darkness of the Pier against the orange glow of the sky reminds me to cherish each new day.
