Turquoise Wave VII is inspired by the stormy seas off the North Devon and North Cornish coastline. Making it ideal for surfing. I am based in the coastal town of Teignmouth, where the powerful spring tides can bring large waves and strong rip tides.Teignmouth is located where Devon’s River Teign meets the sea. It offers beautiful coastline, a long sandy beach, a busy harbour and attractive countryside close to Dartmoor.
Inspiration
I am an oil painter inspired by the energy of the seas. Studying film and art at the University of Plymouth has influenced the way I paint. It is important to me to include a sense of movement in my work. Having moved permanently to Devon 18 years ago, it is Devon and Cornwall’s coastline that still inspires me.Try it!
