Project Description:
I am embedded in research-based artistic practice, spending a large majority of my time reading text relating to philosophy, neurology and women's studies. My paintings are conceptual, with the process of laying down and removing of material being more important than the final product. I cannot control the stripping of pigment when solvents are added, and this to me is a mirror of our lives as human beings. We crave control but when we relinquish it, there is so often beauty to be found. I work to capture this in my paintings.Try it!
