Yang Tian's artwork "神經瞬態視覺 I"(Neurotransient Visions I) stands out prominently against the backdrop of this era's diseases. Just as the bacterial era of the past was brought to an end by antibiotics, despite our lingering fear of major flu outbreaks, today we are no longer in the era dominated by viruses. Instead, the present disease era is characterized by the dominance of neurons rather than bacteria or viruses. Various mental illnesses such as depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) have come to the forefront of the disease landscape in the early 21st century.
