This piece is part of my ASTRÖ Series, which consists of portraying the twelve astrological signs. In this project, I try to dissociate myself from the traditional symbolism and esotericism associated with astrology.
Even though I had done my research for this piece, I still had no idea where I was going when I started it. That made me feel quite nervous but also taught me that at some point I needed to let myself go and trust my intuition for my art to flourish. The more I paint the more I understand this on a deeper level and discover myself as an artist.
Kancer helped me conquer my fear of pushing my art to the next level instead of sticking to my comfort zone. I love the result and I will keep moving in that direction.Try it!
