Project Description:
These sculptures are a study on grief. They carry the shadow of my mother in them who died in 2021.
Japanese Garden (Autumn), 2022 was created remembering the recent loss of my mother and trying to process my immense grief. The Kimono represents my mother – her love of these Japanese cotton fabrics which she gifted to me. A couple of these fabrics are scraps from the wedding quilt she made me and my husband many years ago. The garden represents her beloved garden.Try it!
