The catalogue will feature additional images of each artist, an in-depth interpretation of the artwork in the exhibition as it relates to African-centered theories and methods that are too often intentionally overlooked, misunderstood, and in conflict with western beliefs about what Art is from the birthplace of all “cultures of origin” to “cultures of destination”. Dr. King will address the creative values and challenges that face human characteristics of migration, whether voluntarily or involuntarily. The celebration of an African worldview of cultures is represented in Women Who…Part2”, and the catalogue further expands the African Art conversation, unapologetically.
