“I am an aspiring architect with a passion for various fields of art and design. From an early age, I was fascinated by drawing, singing, crafting, and photography. I completed my art and music courses at the District Shilpakala Academy, Sylhet, before entering college. My passion, skills, and creativity in art have been a blessing on my journey to completing my graduation in architecture. Each form of art has its own unique beauty, whether in creating or experiencing it. As an artist, I can appreciate beauty in both ways.”

“Growing water beads was our childhood obsession. We were thrilled to watch them, wondering how big they would grow, losing their colors over time as they absorbed the surrounding water. As adults, we feel nostalgic for this childish pleasure we once treasured. Isn't that just like our lives? We grow together, slowly losing our "colors of life" as we adjust to society. Some of us become bigger people; some take time to shine in their own colors, just like those unpredictable Orbeez.“

Michael Eckart was born in West Germany after the Second World War. He has spent significant time in Japan, Bali, and other parts of Asia, but Venice now feels like home. 
 
From a young age, he aspired to be a photographer or designer, always drawn to creativity. However, these passions did not take center stage in his career until much later. 
 
In the 1960s, he began designing window displays and creating objects for visual merchandising. During this time, MoMA requested some of his designs for an exhibition on contemporary design in New York. 
 
In 2016, his son gifted him an old camera, reigniting his passion for photography. 
 
In 2024, he entered his first photography competition and achieved success.

“At Galle Face Green, Colombo's popular seaside promenade, the sky is transformed into a floating work of art every year. Thousands of visitors flock here to experience the Kite Festival, one of Sri Lanka's most vibrant and colourful celebrations. The festival is not only a cultural highlight but also a symbol of joy, freedom, community, and family. Local participants often embrace the kaleidoscopic spectacle by dressing in bold, bright outfits. Many wear eye-catching colours, as if competing with the sky for the most dazzling hues. Amidst the hustle and bustle, I noticed a pair of sisters: two girls in matching plaid dresses, a playful sartorial statement. The younger one reached into her older sister's rucksack as if it belonged to both of them. Not a word is exchanged, it is simply understood. One rucksack, one family, one shared celebration.”

Karen Safer, a native Angeleno, is an internationally exhibited, award-winning photographic artist and poet. Given a camera and crayons at the age of three, she was immersed in California’s visual language from an early age. A lifelong traveler, she has explored over 230 countries and territories, embracing both the exotic and the unexpected. Influenced by her father’s black-and-white photography and her mother’s insatiable curiosity for knowledge and travel, her inspirations range from ancient Assyria to the conceptual works of Cindy Sherman.

“The image is from my series called "HEAT & ICE" comprised of about 15 images. At the time, I was exploring the relationship between hot and cool colors and was drawn to a sheet hanging loosely in an open space where light poured in through a high window. The shadows added dramatic effect to the scene. I had a marvellous time dancing around the subject and shot numerous images from different vantage points, composing various views and angles. In my studio, I digitally reworked the images on the computer to enhance and embellish the warm tones and recede the cool hues as contrast. I later added words as overlay corresponding to various moods for about 5 of the images.”

Shawn is an Appalachian-based photographer in the foothills of southeast Ohio. He largely explores rural landscapes but enjoys exploring any type of environment. His photographic journey caught fire in spring 2023 when he bought his first camera, after borrowing equipment previously. He fell in love with photography around 2010-2011 during college but didn't take the next step for several more years.

Lish Atchison-Roeder and Kristine Dalbey are collaborative fiber artists who create intricate veils that discuss the difficulties in social settings for those with neurodivergence and mental illness and how it affects one’s sense of self. With careful attention to repetition and handiwork, as each piece takes 20+ hours to create, the artists’ bodies cramp through execution. This auto-piloted act of making mirrors Atchison-Roeder and Dalbey’s relationship with their toxic and demanding inner critic, and their inability to dismiss it. 
 
Motifs and color palettes are jointly selected through conversations on debilitating mental health and the struggles of neurodivergence in a capitalistic society. Atchison-Roeder and Dalbey combine the act of physically making with these motifs and color palettes to discuss the decay of the individual in societies where “success” is deemed by financial gain over mental and physical well-being.

"The Veil references the artists’ joint feelings of disdain for the unbreakable ties to their involuntary indoctrination into the Catholic Church and authoritarian parallels shared under capitalism. The artists use symbols of the Virgin Mary, her veil, and the rosary to create a veil that emphasizes the battle with the Inner Critic, mental and physical bodily decay, and free will under faith."

"Using Mary as a symbol of passive obedience, the color blue references the Mother and brain scans with depression, questioning her free will under God. Mindless repetition in beading to create opulence accounted for individual and communal bodily decay, mirroring the notion of divine suffering under blind faith for the benefit of a ruler. A self-deprecating mantra composed of ten letters references the decades of the rosary in faith through parroting. Finally, the Baptism in the ocean represents the indoctrination into capitalist authoritarianism at the expense of the self."

"I especially love photographing people. I want to create photos that reflect expression, life, character, naturalness, individuality, and creativity. I want to take people into the world of photo art in my own way, tailored to them. I have been taking photographs since 2007. I was in the world of wedding photography until 2016, but after my break to raise children, I won’t be doing it on such a large scale anymore. I am a photographer for business, events, and families. A surreal slice of watermelon sits at the center of a pastel green background. Its bright red flesh, often symbolic of summer sweetness and joy, is speckled not with seeds, but with evenly spaced blue pills. A few more pills lie scattered outside the fruit, like forgotten thoughts or doses yet to be taken. The visual juxtaposition is jarring, deliberate. It challenges the viewer to confront the blurred boundary between natural nourishment and medicinal necessity. 
 
This image becomes a quiet metaphor for mental health: how something as routine and life-giving as eating must sometimes be paired with the equally vital act of taking medication. The blue pills, mimicking seeds of growth, speak to the often invisible work of healing, of nurturing the mind as we do the body. Their placement within the fruit suggests normalization, integration, and acceptance: that mental wellness and the tools we use to maintain it should be as natural and unashamed as a slice of fruit.

Kylo-Patrick Hart is an award-winning photographer (Budapest International Foto Awards, European Photography Awards, Global Photography Awards, Golden Shot International Photography Awards, London Photography Awards, Pollux Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards, etc.) and chair of the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media at Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, Texas, USA). 
 
He received his formal training in digital media arts while a student at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, with additional instruction provided by offerings of the Maine Media Workshops and Santa Fe Workshops. 
 
His photographs have been exhibited in numerous cities throughout the United States and in several countries abroad.

Brigitte currently lives in Switzerland. She is a self-taught photographer, started shooting as a child inspired by her grandfather whose name she chose to bear as her artist’s name to honour him. 
 
She shot with a film camera for years be it color or black and white, spent hours developing her films in a dark room. In her twenties she travelled around the globe taking her camera along and thus gained great experience especially in landscape and street life photography. 
 
Being reasonable instead of listening to her passion she studied medicine and is still partly working as a medic. Though after a life changing event she had more time for herself and the passion for photography came back stronger than ever. Still taken mostly by landscape and street life photography but also starting to experiment with other approaches.

"My second image represents Morgestraich, the beginning of carnival on a winter Monday in the city of Basel. At 4 a.m. all lights are turned off and the lanterns are glowing in the dark. Magic is back, it feels like being in the Middle Ages. The atmosphere is almost mystical. People dressed in costumes and wearing masks roam the streets holding lanterns, playing the fife and the drums. This chaotic procession goes on until dawn or when it is time for a warm glass of spiced wine. As a child I was told I was too small to attend, although my family was involved in the festivities. Today this yearly colourful ritual has become mine too. A childhood dream has come true."

"I was wandering about London’s Southbank when I saw this beautiful merry-go-round. It inspired me for long exposure photographs. Remembering how it turned and turned when I hopped on as a child. Transmitting the movement was my aim. Letting what is seen disappear like magic. Colours changing, my head spinning as it turned faster and faster. Did this journey take me into a fairytale?"

April Surac is an award-winning interdisciplinary artist working in photography, filmmaking, woodworking, and textile design. Her work has been featured by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, SOBO Art Gallery, and Orlando Museum of Art. As the founder and CEO of NeuraSensa, she creates neurotech-driven art pieces designed to enhance sensory experiences for neurodiverse individuals. NeuraSensa’s projects have been exhibited internationally, with showcases in Miami, New York City, Paris, London, Rome, and Milan.

"My name is Fernanda, I’m 32 years old, and I’m from Puebla, Mexico. I consider myself an amateur photographer and a passionate admirer of light and shadow. It was the moment of truth I had been searching for. From the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain to traditional clothing, Peru embodies vibrancy, kindness, and authenticity. The other photographs were taken in my beloved Mexico. They feature Los Voladores de Papantla, also known as The Birds of the Earth. The Voladores de Papantla ceremony is a ritual that dates back to 1300 A.D. Through my lens, I hope to share the worldview of this ancient culture and the spiritual depth of their ceremonial flight. This iconic tradition of the Totonac people has been recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO."
