In Eastern Washington, our access to the ocean is limited, so we aimed to capture a sunset photo of the Heceda Head Lighthouse on the Oregon Coast. Unpredictable weather posed a challenge, but being retired gave us the flexibility to plan around favorable forecasts. During our two-week trip, the lighthouse was closed, so we enjoyed the beach instead, relishing the ocean breeze and seagulls. Despite waking up to an ongoing storm, I ventured out in the rain and stumbled upon a captivating scene of fog-covered landscapes and defiant seagulls. Days later, we returned and captured the desired sunset photo. This journey taught us that the joy lies not only in achieving our goal but also in exploring the awe-inspiring Oregon Coast. We feel fortunate for our health and resources, eagerly anticipating our return to this extraordinary place.Try it!
