I love black and white images as I believe they take us away from what we see (through colours) and are more about what we feel. I was fascinated by the textures of this elephants’ skin.
This was shot in the afternoon light where the texture is most noticeable. This elephant is eating what food it can find on the edge of the desert and for me, this image shows the ruggedness of these animals, essential for survival in such a harsh environment.Try it!
