'Spring fields' was inspired by last years rape seed oil fields all around my home in Norfolk. I love the contrast between the bright yellow fields and the misty blue background and cloudy sky. I painted this view in the comfort of my studio a year later using photographs and sketches as reference.
I have used an impressionistic free style and painted using soft pastels on Clairefontaine pastel mat.
The painting is signed on the front and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
