OtherDescription
As a child, I would visit this one of a kind antique store in Belvidere, New Jersey with my friends. Nearly ten years later, I drove past this old building only to notice a bicycle parked in front. As I continued to pass by Homer Hicks Antiques year after year the bicycle became a part of the scene. Then I decided to photograph the building both for personal reasons and to freeze a special moment in time.
Soon after making this photograph, the bicycle had been removed. It ads so much character and confirms the notion that when you have an idea for something, it is important to act on it quickly.Try it!
