Main Falls – Framed
DescriptionThis photograph was taken at Bushkills Falls in Pennsylvania just after about a week of heavy rain storms. This particular waterfall is referred to as main falls. The staff on site said that this was the most water they had ever seen coming through the falls. The sound of the water crashing down was deafening. Similar to bridal veil falls, the spray from the waterfall was continuously coating my lens so it was a challenge to make the photograph happen.
Black and white film translated this scene into what it felt like being there. I felt so small compared to the sheer size and sound from this thunderous waterfall surrounded by a dark, water saturated rock face.
