Description
In “Fear. Isolation. Freedom.”, I merge pixels to reflect the universal anxiety caused by COVID-19, capturing the emotional turmoil experienced globally during the pandemic’s onset, characterized by fear, isolation, and a desire for freedom. The artwork honors the courage of frontline heroes, particularly first responders and nurses, whose resilience shone in dark times, embodying the triumph of human spirit over challenges. It also depicts the loneliness of separation, the longing for connection, and the sorrow of being distant from loved ones, while maintaining a sense of hope. This hope, embodied by Iris, the goddess of rainbows, signifies endurance and brighter days to come. The piece is a vivid representation of our collective emotional journey, emphasizing resilience, pain, and hope, and it calls for recognition of our past, addressing our present, and striving for a united and hopeful future.
